The Bell True Fit sweepstakes continue this week and for the next seven days we’re giving you the chance to win Activision’s Tony Hawk: Ride for Nintendo Wii and a Bell Hawk Helmet! A value of more than $160!

Like X-Box 360, the Wii version of Tony Hawk: RIDE uses a skateboard peripheral (shown below) covered with motion sensors to simulate riding an actual skateboard in the game. Similar to using the balance board in Wii Fit or Shaun White Snowboarding you’ll be on your feet grinding and shredding your way through the game. No sore thumbs!

Entering the contest is easy: All you have to do is follow (@BellTrueFit) on twitter and retweet (RT) this link: http://bit.ly/abqqFR

We’re excited to be offering you a chance to win a Wii version of Tony Hawk: Ride, and remember that we’ll be giving you another chance to win an X-Box 360 version next week!

Thanks to everyone who participated in the first round, and good luck in the second round!

The Bell helmet that saved Mr. Twigger's life

Craig Twigger was wearing this Bell helmet when he took a bad spill, and it saved his life

Craig Twigger: Ontario

I want to say thank you for engineering a great helmet that – according to the emergency room doctor – recently saved my life. I was riding with my son and misjudged the ending of an elevated ramp at a mountain bike park and landed completely on the side of my head and shoulder from about 6 feet off the ground. I could not get my hands in front of me and the helmet took the full force of my crash.

I did not receive a concussion and only bruising and stiffness in my neck and shoulder. The Bell helmet stayed in place over the bumps and was where it was supposed to be when I hit the ground.

The helmet was completely destroyed, but thankfully, it was the helmet and not my skull. Helmets are important and do actually work. I am speaking, in particular, to those of us (40-year-plus) adults who don’t think we need to wear a helmet, since most of us grew up not wearing one.

My two young children and my wife and I are glad that Bell made a great helmet and that it worked to significantly reduce the impact to my skull during my accident.
